Come Read to Shelter Dogs!
Children in 1st to 5th Grade are invited to come read to a Humane Society of Marion County Dog on select Saturday mornings at 11 AM. & 1 PM. The class is for 1 hour and starts promptly.
Here’s how it works:
The child must register in advance.

We will email to confirm the week before your date.

A parent/guardian must accompany the child and stay at the shelter (in a separate area) while the child reads. Children do better when reading to a non-judgmental dog without outside criticism
